I’m not really a fan of upscale Mexican food (see my review of Alma de Cuba) but I have to admit, El Vez had me hooked on the Mexican Chop Salad. With the fried tortilla stips, cheese, and mostly romain lettuce, it’s not the healthiest salad around. But it’s got all kinds of crunchy textures, beans, corn, and tomatoes, and just thinking about the cumin-lime vinagrette has my mouth watering. Also, it’s huge. Eat half, and save the other for the next day.
